2010 Unfiltered Finch Hollow Chardonnay96 Points "Editor's Choice" - Wine Enthusiast!
This unfiltered Chardonnay is made from the same barrels of wine as the Finch Hollow Chardonnay. The Finch Hollow is that vineyard which was preferred by the birds prior to netting. Winemaker, Te Henry, has followed the innovation of consultant Dimitri Tchelistcheff in using wine from the top half of the barrels. This unique winemaking step contributes to being able to bottle the wine unfined and unfiltered so as to retain all the subtle flavor elements. Therefore the Unfiltered Chardonnay is our most full-bodied chardonnay, with an amazingly long, smooth finish - gratifying to even a read wine lover!
