Masked Ball
2006-09-01

The July Masked Ball in the winery was hands down the most fun ball yet...200+ guests donned masks of all sorts for an evening of wine, food, entertainment and dancing supported by 70 catering and winery staff plus 20 entertainers. The Barrel Chai was aglow in bright festive colors with giant masks and oversized balloons floating in the air.

The evening began with a reception tasting of our current releases, followed by a spectacular floor show produced by Michael and Julie Lowe. In the show Melissa Rutz and Aejay Centeno wowed us with two great West Coast Swing dance numbers. Michael Lowe choreographed a Chinese ballet dance specifically for the event which he danced with a masked Terrin Kelly. While Joel Porter our LA / Orange County area sales manager proved to be quite the crooner. As a special finale, Pope Flyne amazed us with his authentic African drums.

Patina Catering did a great buffet dinner in the Crystal Chamber, enticing many to go back for seconds of their favorite menu items. No sooner was dinner over than the dance floor was full for the rest of the evening. The band seemed to play one favorite after another. To add to the fun there was a Magnum wine tasting, a group Tango lesson and light up Maracas. A challenging Limbo contest closed the evening on the dance floor. Now we can look forward to harvest and our Harvest Tasting.
