2010 Reserve Merlot
93 Points. Gold Medal. Cellar Selection. Wine Enthusiast. As rich as Jarvis' regular 2010 Merlot is, the Reserve is even bigger. It is, in a word, massive, offering a nuclear detonation of cherries, currants and mocha, even something sweety meaty, like the charred fat on a steak. At this tender age, it lacks subtlety. But it's a complex, tannic wine that should develop well in the cellar. Give it 6-7 years. - S. Heimoff (September, 2013) |
