96 Points. Platinum Medal - Superlative. Beverage Testing Institute. Nearly opaque dark brown brick color. Bright, fruity, toasty aromas and flavors of purple hard candy - blackberry, toasted coconut, mulberry cobbler, and spiced berries - cedar with a tannic, tangy, dry full body and a peppery, charming, medium-length finish with chewy, crunchy, firm tannins and moderate oak. 

96 Points. Wine Enthusiast. This reserve tastes oakier and stronger than Jarvis’s regular 2006 Cabernet. With near-perfect balance, this is awesome. Flavors of blackberries and black currants are complexed with minerals and herbs and indefinable things from the soil. It’s hard in tannins and rich in spicy, smoky new oak. Hold until at least 2014, and it should continue to age well beyond that.

Deep garnet black color.  Aromas of chocolate, dried currants, baklava, bacon fat, and fleu de sal with a stainy fruity-yet-dry medium-to-full body and a long, tangy, chocolate covered orange peel, vanilla and cedar finish.  A delicious, elegant cabernet.

Mature aromas of leather, sage, roasted tomato, dried currant and peppery spices with a satiny dry-yet-fruity medium-full body and a graceful mineral, peppercorn and salted almond accented finish. A stately, savory wine for the table. 

96 Points. Wine Enthusiast. It’s huge in extract, in the form of massively infused blackberries and black currants, cherry liqueur and sweet, smoky cedar wood from 100% new oak, with perfectly ripened tannins and a deft touch of acidity. Defines the voluptuous, Napa cult style. Should age for many years, although it’s soft and delicious enough to drink now.
