Described as "the Jarvis wine of the century" by William Jarvis, the DImitri Tchelistcheff Reserve was a project started in 2012 by our founding winemaker, Dimitri, along with William and his son Will. This culminated in the creation of a new wine that represents the pinnacle of what our estate has to offer and we are pleased to present this wine for the first time.

The remarkable growing season in 2012 yielded exceptional quality fruit with remarkable high phenols along with prominent tannins, such that even after 29 months of aging in new French oak barrels, Dimitri felt the wines required additional aging. Following his suggestion, we aged the wines for an additional 5 months in a second set of new French oak barrels, which is unheard of! The protocol was a first at Jarvis and we believe the resulting wine to be the highest expression of the microclimates on the estate and Dimitri's legacy.
